The Huskies stayed in the fight with a win in Set 3, going up 18-14 and then working through the pressure of multiple ties in the late going. The set was secured with a kill from Doga Kutlu and an error by St. John’s.

The Red Storm closed out the match with a strong early effort in Set 4, taking a 16-9 lead. Aqain, UConn made it tough at the finish in coming back from a 24-19 hold to tie it at 24-all, but St. John’s was able to shut the door.
