TUCSON, AZ - In a back and forth affair in which neither team found much offensive rhythm, Pacific outlasted Weber State in five sets to advance to the Super 16 where it will take on Arizona. Pacific hit .124 in the match while Weber State hit .121. Pacific had 36 attack errors in the match, thanks in large part to the 11 blocks that Weber State registered, with three girls each recording five blocks for the Wildcats. The Tigers were led by Alexa Edwards, who recorded a double-double with 21 kills and 15 digs, while their most efficient offense came from Emily Van Groningen who had 16 kills on .452 hitting. Jenna Heller added 47 assists and 15 digs, while Megan Nishimura had 20 digs for Pacific. The Tigers take on Arizona tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET. |
