Round 2 Recap - Green Bay vs. Illinois State

GREEN BAY 3, ILLINOIS STATE 1 (25-23, 25-19, 18-25, 26-24)

GREEN BAY, WI - Green Bay (17-15) did not disappoint the home crowd, handling Illinois State (22-13) in four sets to advance to Round 3 of the 2017 NIVC.

The Phoenix will face the winner of TCU and North Texas at a time, date and location to be determined.

Illinois State was paced by Juma Armando, who finished with 13 kills, three digs and two blocks. Jaelyn Keene also finished in double figures with 11 kills, eight digs and seven big blocks for the Redbirds.

The Wolf's were once again a main staple in Green Bay's offense. In fact, four Phoenix players (Jessica Wolf, Lydia Deweese, Taylor Wolf, Roberta Todd) all finished with at least 10 kills. Setter Maddie Yoss tallied a tournament-high 47 assists in the win.
