VERMILLION, SD — Riding a steady and nearly error-free offensive attack, South Dakota moved past UNLV on Friday in Round 2 of the 2019 NIVC. The Coyotes (29-2) will face either UT Arlington or Sam Houston State in the quarterfinals next week. South Dakota had five attack errors total in the first two sets against UNLV and ended up hitting .369 overall with eight errors. Elizabeth Juhnke had 16 kills for the Coyotes, while Elizabeth Loschen and Sami Slaughter each had eight kills. Madison Jurgens closed with 36 assists and 10 digs, and Anne Rasmussen added 12 digs. The Rebels (20-11) got 17 kills from Thea Sweder, while Antonette Rolda had 20 assists. |
